Its a Factory Five Racing replica (approx 40K complete) ..looks runs great..0-60 in 3.5...1/4 in the mid 12's. Check 'em out, they'll send you a free dvd..or just youtube 'em...lots of vids there.

I made my living going to bat for people that I never met. So I'm forever wired ths way. I can't change if I wanted to..(xannax).

I am what I am..if that's "posing" ..works for me . I'm doing something right.

The only other VH thing is an original we tried to pass off as a VH song, I never liked it. I could post it, PM it..if I can find it.

I'd never consider using him in any capacity. I can't find any reason for lyrical descrepancies because there's not much to them. I can't relate to writing a song that simplistic or titled "loser's day parade" without feeling like a bitch with a skinned knee. Wayyyyy..too masochistic for my taste, or my wife's. Honestly, maybe he should growl, scream, shout or something..better than whining IMO.
I thought the same thing. It's like I'm stuck back in the '80s hair scene again. Please make it stop! :ROTF:
I grew up listening to all kinds of classic rock, hard rock and metal music, and got turned onto death metal in the '80s from friends who had albums by Venom and Celtic Frost, then Death, and it progressed on from there with Ripping Corpse, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, etc. Some people just don't get it or aren't that open-minded, I guess.

                  • Joe..how 'bout we sing this one all together now!

Now, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum,
What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
A man is born, he's a man of means.
Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans.

                    But they got, Diff'rent Strokes.
                    It takes, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

Everybody's got a special kind of story
Everybody finds a way to shine,
It don't matter that you got not alot
                    So what,
They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine.
                    And together we'll be fine....

Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
                    Yes it does.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

That Dave Chappelle/John Mayer skit was hilarious..

Like Bill says, those vocals are really really poor. The harmonies aren't, well, in harmony and he sounds off key.
The song itself isn't bad at all, but it really does sound like something early Poison, or some other hair band might have done, which was fine in the 80's but....glam metal hasn't aged well at all.

                          Liked the solo though.

But yeah, after all the bashing you did of death metal vocals, and "posturing", you post a song that's from the genre that did more posturing than any other in the history of mankind?

                          • this is some funny shit right here

posers are everywhere... doesn't matter if it's mainstream or underground... people follow trends to be "cool"... some people follow "underground trends" to be cool too just in a different way...
hair metal fan or death metal fan... I don't care... most of 'em spend too much time talking how much other types of music suck... that goes for every sub-culture... full of narrow minded assholes who can't get the idea that other people can like music wich they don't.... that's the common thing that the fans have... hatred towards other music.

now real musicians are very rarely so close minded... no matter if it's a dude who makes metal, pop, rap or jazz... changes are he is pretty open minded... that's the common thing wich real established musicians have... that's why I have respect for them even if I don't like the music they make.

music is an art, there's no rules how to make it.
Pollock isn't less of an artist than Rembrandt because what he makes is different and not so "nice"
Durning the early 20th century expressionistic and experimental musicians tried to play piano with tools... use table wear to hit the piano strings... etc. just to get different sounds and colors.
Same goes for vocals. There's so many different ways how to make sounds with a mouth. Not every one of them is singing but they all can be used in a musical context.
There's so many different vocal styles wich can sounds very weird at first... like all the different vocal styles from Asia or Africa... or the music from Nordic Shamans or Aborigens... throat-singing or some other unusual techniques.
With some of them you can get used to and really start enjoying them... but some stuff will always be annoying... it's a personal thing.
I used to hate opera with passion... now I regulary listen to some olds Italian opera on the vinyls... it can be the most beautiful thing on earth. But I still don't like oper-metal (ala Nightwish)... there's some things you will never like but it's bloody pointless to bitch all the time about what you don't like and "proving" how it's not "real".
I'm ok with Rap because it's rhythmic music. Some stuff is really good IMO. But it will never be my favorite music because its point was never to sing but to deliver the message. I personally never care about the message from music and I like to hear human voice like it's a melodic musical instrument.
But it all comes down to nuances and personal preference... in rock I really like blues and soul influenced singing style... ala Coverdale, Hughes, Plant, Tyler, Cornell etc. but I don't like power metal style high pitched screaming although those guys have good vocal powers.
I was never a big fan of cookie monster vocals but there's some stuff that I can listen to. I perfer low pitched growls to high pitched dick-in-the-throat black metal style squealing wich is very annoying to my ears. But some like that stuff... that's is ok because it's also music. I just can't bring myself to listen any of it.
It's all "colors". The more we have the better it is because otherwise everything would sound the same. They all can be used in the right context. I don't agree with those who say agressive metal must have cookie vocals. Lack of imagination, arrangements and uncapable vocalists from their behalf. You can make an accordion sound good in a grindcore band if it's done well and the right way. You just need creativity and skill.
Skill is a very important thing.... well most of the time. The band should be equally good. I never go for the "yeah the vocals suck but the playing is good" thing. Everything has to be good IMO. There are very few bands I listen only for specific instrument playing (like George Lynch in Dokken for example). No matter what's your vocal style... you have to be good at it and unique. Good isn't always technically perfect but it has more to do with musical nuances and approach.

Why the fuck so many people (including myself sometimes) always have to be so god damn agitated just because there's folks out there who do things differently than they do?
