I think Bruce Bouillet had some hand injury issues that kept him from playing for a long time (that's what happens when you have to keep up with Gilbert -lol). So it was great to see him out with PG on the G3 tour last year, seeing the two of them do Scarified (in person) was a religious experience for me

That's where I was going as well. I haven't heard any of his comeback material but I have yet to hear anything good about it.

What happen to him anyway? Did he go back to playing drums and give up the shred guitar playing?

I would also nominate Jake E. Lee and Tommy Bolin.

Tommy Bolin was great. I first heard him with Deep Purple. I was shocked when he appeared with Billy Cobham. All hail Tommy!

Jake E Lee is in the current ESP catalog for 2008. He looks kind of rough, but I seem to remember that Tommy Bolin has a photo in there too.
