G was does the LTD have?! Shit, I couldn't wait so I bought mine the first day it was released at FYE for 13.99.
I know the songs well now..shame this stuff isn't played in the mainstream. I think a couple songs could be included in a NM set. Its the only way I would imagine to hear live. Unless Warrel goes it alone..maybe he should hire Jeff, Jim and Van for his band.
Oh even better yet..maybe they could open for themselves! By that time Jeff will have new stuff too..prolly a whole new NM cd as well. I've been listening to alot of early NM again..all their shit is just fugging timeless. Not a single song has dulled with age!
Maybe they're too ahead of their time..and its going to take time for the world to catch up.
I remember a time you never heard a Metallica song on the radio. In a place weened on Creed, Korn, Godsmack and Disturbed ..NM is alot to digest!

This album is fucking amazing. I have a wishful thought. I was watching "The Graduate" and it hit me like a hammer how much Warrel took from Simon & Garfunkel..the harmonies/melodies/lyrical content ect...everything is dead on balls. I would like to see Nevermore put out a cd entirely of S & G songs. Its not that I'm a huge fan of S & G. BUT Warrel and NM really do that stuff justice like no other metal band could..solely on the impact they had on Warrel and the way he delivers it. Y'Know that could be the very thing that could break them. Opeth had their breakthrough cd with their mood blues/70's prog inspired release..this could be that album. This reminds me when I wanted Van Halen to put out a Kinks cover album..they did it right w YRGM/WHATGTG. They could have easily covered 10 more..they didn't need to..they're VH.
If ya get the chance to meet the NM camp..suggest this. Jeff thought I was "crazy" when I told him he was going to be a force amoung guitarists someday. Most don't realize many players like Li/Totman, COB, Shadows Fall, LOG and ect would be the first to admit this. I seen them bow down in complete shock and awe ..including Chris Broderick, Mike Amott, Alexi Laiho, Glen Drover, Gus G, Devin Townsend, Peter Wichers and ect. At both BW & BK shows ALL eyes were on Jeff/NM !!! Nobody was at the bar.
There' NO reason why Warrel's solo stuff or any of the many songs couldn't be huge with the slightest promotion/rotation..no reason at all. If any fuggin' metal band in the last decade deserves to be HUGE..its Nevermore.
Around '9/'98 Jeff and Warrel said one of their main goals was to bring the guitar solo back. I'm happy its back, but I wanted to hear it from them. There's many popular band that have the same or less skills than ourselves..while Loomis is left behind.
