yep great singing.... when their album came out a couple of years ago my Mom actually really liked it... mainly because of Jeff's vocals

Looks like that black strat style of Schon might be a Suhr or an older Pensa-Suhr?!?

I think that Soto was good in Talisman, other than that I don´t think he is that special.

Doesn't look like an Ibby headstock. Too pointy.

Bit boring IMO. Liked the singer though, what Yngwie albums did he do? I don't remember ever hearing good vocals on an Yngwie song - he'll probably even ruin Ripper.

It's funny how many fans of cookie monster vocals and more "extreme" forms of metal have also shared their appreciation & enjoyment of the efforts of Schon, Soto, et al and that whole style of contemporary hard rock in this thread, and yet people who don't like non-clean vox can't help but have a dig at the style.

I wonder if someone started a thread about Dillinger Escape Plan if anyone would feel compelled to say "DEP could teach Neil Schon a thing or two about playing mathcore riffage"

No, whenever we start a thread with cookie monster contents there is always somebody coming in and slagging it, same as here. In fact, the screen names of the people doing that look awfully familiar... it sure gets old after a while.
