That would seem odd if it wasn't a guitar that was in the Rhoads' family possession for all these years after the intro to the article about pulling his gear out of storage.

And to sit Mrs. Rhoads down for a formal photo with something GW just picked up on the way over from GC Hollywood would seem unlikely? Or stupid.

Im sure its an original of some type. The demo Zakk did for the amp was terrible. It sounded like musical diarrhea.

Ha ha, I can believe that. When I saw the Ozzy/Zombie tour earlier this year the spotlight solo that John 5 did blew Zakk's away.

Nice job to all the sleuths that figured it out. The original had a hand painted "script" logo and the smaller shark fins.

that guitar is clearly not something you'd get at GC. that's an old one.

that's most likely it, as she was given the first production model.

What kind of bridge is that on the one in the Mrs. Rhoads photo? It's hard to tell but it doesn't really look like the one on RR0009 from the gallery.

I went back and looked at the magazine photo and the caption is:

                  "Delores Rhoads with Randy's Jackson".

So that would be incorrect if in fact it was the first production model made after he died?

it's a PCS (or the old style) bridge, which is the same as what's on randy's black one.

Who's going to write GW first and rip 'em?

Hopefully some cunning fellow with a production model didn't pull a switcharoo on Delores somewhere along the way. Not many people would realize the difference.

Another question...does anyone remember the "Guitar Shop" magazine that posted a picture of a black RR claiming it was the original? In the photo was a production model not unlike this one with a red roadcase. I wonder if that was the same as this one.

I already wrote them back when I first noticed that it wasn't Randy's guitar

I vaguely remember the Guitar Shop article. Wasn't it supposedly going to auction?

The pics on the song list say "Charvel". Is that referring to the RR I guess?

Agreed 100%, John 5 owned Zakk.

So, is the guitar that she's holding below the first serialized Rhoads (RR 0000) that's listed here?:

That would make sense for her to get the first production Rhoads off the line.
His original white concorde and black prototypes were never serialized, right?
