OMFG ..My wife bought me a bass for my birthday in 1989. It was in a local paper, and happened to be Eric Carmen's '76 Alembic Exploiter bass. His parents had it hanging on a wall in Bay Village ..they said it was in a video but I never knew which one..with the miracle of youtube..I found it..!!!

It was the most beautiful bass I've ever owned for a afew years. It had two truss rod adjustments. Unfortunately, the fretboard cracked from the 12 fret to the very end. A friend helped patch it up with wood putty and stain. I sold it for $800. It didn't sound very good at all tho..but I wanted to keep it original..
I took that money and bought me a new Ken Smith..which I loved and played for years!
