  • Metallica Album Title Revealed

    HOLY FUCKING SHIT

    CHECK www.missionmetallica.com

That riff sounded awesome!!!! Pretty modern (some metalcore influence) but still reminiscent of old. FUCK YEAH!

    DEATH MAGNETIC

Pretty weird title, but it has definitely peaked my interest

You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

All I can say is, this album has got to be REALLY REALLY REALLY great to make us forget the last 16 years or so

For you maybe. I personally LOVE TBA and Load, Dig most of Reload and a couple (2 or 3) songs from Saint Anger.

Tallying that up, for me personally, pretty fucking great.

Alot of hype is going into this...over the years I've learned that usually means the album sucks.
I hated despised St.Ranger it sucked.
Who knows though? Could be tallica's come back.
        September will tell the tell.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

I am safe in saying, Wardie m' boy, that you are definitely in the minority there. :ROTF:

metal core.... looks like they've been flirting with Trvium too much. I'm sure this cd will be either like the more recent ones or a weak attempt at their former glory. Lets just say I don't have a lot of faith in it.

Actually, I am safe in saying I am not. Just because a bunch of dumb neanderthale metal dudes don't like Load, doesn't mean millions of other people don't. On most Prog boards I frequent most of the people actually like Load quite a good bit. [Queue Vass and his sociology report]

I'll gladly take another "Load-esque" album over 'Formation Of Damnation' any day.

                Anyways, onwards.

Mark me down as agreed. Haven't cared for them since Master Of Puppets, and HATED St. Anger. I begged the local dj to not play it anymore, and he got all shitty with me, telling me not to fucking tell HIM what his listeners want. Within the week, he stopped playing it, and reverted back to classic Metallica. I think he confused having his finger on the pulse to having it jammed up his ass. hehe. Moron.

+2...still unimpresses after 17 years. They lost me after the Black album. The Cap'ns of Crunch they are no more.

Formation of Damnation kills anything Metallica has put out in the past 17 years.

I was watching "Heavy - The Story of Metal" tonight and they did Metallica in the 4th part. Lots of early footage with Cliff and such. They totally fucking dominated back then! I would really like an album in the style of Ride the Lightning, but I know that they have moved past that now. Still, its nice to dream you know.

Absolutely. That's when they ruled. "Heavy" was a cool 4-parter. Probably shoulda put that on disk.

Argh, the riff reaks of metalcore. Things like THIS don't make things look that promising either.

Metallica has done all the right moves over the years... they are just too unpredictable and egoistical for average metal listener
