Personally , I think Load and reload were (and still are) solid albums, they still get plenty of play in the Gartron house, I don't understand the hatred for them..St Anger on the other hand....

Load and Re-load are decent albums for sure. My problem with those is that they're not really Metallica albums imo.. When I think of a Metallica album, I want it fast and powerful, like AJFA and MOP.. none of the recent Metallica albums have that.

I use to be a die hard Metallica fan, but after St. Anger I am loosing faith in Metallica. I like Megadeth a lot more than I like Metallica, now. I was excited about the new album until i heard the riff on mission Metallica.

St Anger is a pile of shit though. The only good thing about St Anger is it will make ANYTHING they do on this next album sound FANTASTIC in comparison. I guess that makes St Anger a good publicity move, but I hate it.

The sad fact that probably needs to be confronted is that IS Metallica, and the old style Metallica is a thing of the past.

Waiting for another MOP... Well, let's face it: Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets.....transitionary album, AJFA. Then Metallica, Load, Reload, St. Anger, Death Magnetic.

3 "METALLICA!!!!!!" albums, one that folks can't seem to agree on, and 5 "Hey, Metallica....cool." albums.

So what's the real Metallica?
