Nope not at all...I especially liked the "painting of colors" part with the pot leaf.

I picked up the Greatest Hits CD/DVD Megadeth put out a few years back when I was in Spain. Don't know if anyone else got it, apparently the import was the only one with the DVD included. The DVD it came with had a lot of live performances, and Marty was nowhere to be found in the mix, all you heard during his solos was rhythm. Of course, when the time came for Dave to solo, there was a dramatic increase in volume.

Friedman was and is way overrated in my book. Too bad Poland couldn't have stayed around instead.

I loved that album and thought Al Pitrelli was great. I didn't really miss Marty.

I loved "parts" of that album and yes, Al Pitrelli did a jam up job.

Me too. I thought Pitrelli's sense of structure and melody was quite similar to Marty's, although Pitrelli's solos appear to more 'straight' and consistent with the rhythm (perhaps due to his classical influence).

Yeah me too, Pitrelli was a great guitarist for Megadeth. He was great in the live DVD too.

I never got it when people claimed he butchered the solos in Rude Awakening.

Nope, that's bollocks. He played them well and made it look easy too. Maybe not ideally suited to the band, but I liked him.

I'd like to see Marty Friedman and Ritchie Kotzen make chick/dance music together.

That'd be cool, but then Richie would steal Marty's woman and get kicked out of the band. :ROTF:

Yea, it's a shame he couldn't drown out Dave's vocals.
