  • Mr. "Anti Cookiemonster" here...but today i heard

"Lamb of God's..."We shall rise again"? Man, now that's some bad ass
riffing, and a great overall sound, plus the vocalist was mixing up between
whispering...gutteral demonic growling, and clear distinct lyrics!
Smart imo! Good stuff this LAMB OF GOD...and im a 53 yr old fart!

Lamb of God rocks! Again We Rise, that's off their latest CD called Sacrament.

Their new live DVD is coming out next month on the 1st, too. Looking forward to that. Their last one Killadelphia is probably one of the most well put together band DVDs I've seen.

I've not really given them a chance, maybe I should. I keep thinking they're the death metal equivalent of Trivium.

They were badass live with DevilDriver & GWAR! The new CD seems a hair short of the heaviness of the older ones, but the voacals are much less monotonous.

I keep thinking they're the boring version of Machinehead.. I'm not that familiar with them though, so I'll shut up now (:

I didn't like the few songs I heard two years ago. Have they improved at all?

Yep. I watch Killadelphia a lot. LOG kick ass!! I've seen them twice, and was not disappointed either time.

my favorite LoG song is Terror and Hubris in the House of Frank Pollard. I think they kick some phenominal ass.

                      A younger version of Slayer.

                      Nothing like Trivium at all.

                      LOG kicks ass.

I always thought Slayer and Testament mixed, with a little At The Gates thrown in.

Well, I guess if you must get all technical about it! HA!

                          Yeah, I'd agree with that.

I remember reading somewhere that "LOG are doing Slayer better than Slayer now". I always thought that was funny.

Then Slayer put out God Hates Us All and killed everyone.

EDIT: I forgot to add that LOG has one of the best drummers in metal, Chris Adler. The only guy I like a little better is John Boecklin from DevilDriver.

Good fucking song. Steve Austin's vocals work pretty well on it too. "Cookie Monster" vocals are one thing, I just can't get into Today is the Day with Steve's constant overly distorted jackal vocals.
