  • Killer vid I ran across the other day. Gary Moore content

Awesome version of Shapes of Things from 1984. The solo in this song had the same affect on me as when I heard the solo for Over the Mountain the first time back in the day. Amazing. The improv stuff in the middle of this performance is killer... Gotta love all the posing going on in the beginning

funny you should post that, actually. I'm currently watching the Gary Moore & Friends dvd, the tribute concert they did for Phil a few years ago.

After viewing that, I had to peruse through a few more. I love Gary Moore. He's right up there in the top echelon of electric guitarist. What tone.

However, when he dawns his LP, he literally oozes feel! Have to put this up, as it's one of my top fave Thin Lizzy tunes.

The solo to the this song I remember hearing on the radio back in the day.
It was like you said, one of those......damn moments.

I never heard another song by him.
This is one of those one hit wonders from the 80's for me.

I saw him in '84 at the Monsters of Rock festival, Donington. Awesome performance, in fact the whole day was great.

I love Gary. Randy made me want to play guitar and I think Gary made me want to learn to shred. (I'm still working on that part lol.)

I always loved when Gary and Phil worked together....

Gary Moore is definitely one of the best. I remember quitting a job - and leaving a $500.00 bonus at the table - to go see Gary Moore in New York. Me and a couple of friends riding trains from Connecticut to see him. His tone and chops come through even better live. The fact that I still remember that concert so vividly makes me sure that leaving the $500.00 bonus was the right decision.

"Corridors of Power" and "Victims of the Future" are my two all time favorite Gary Moore CD's, "Back on the Streets" was also pretty good so was the stuff he did with Thin Lizzy.
