The drum sound wasn't really my taste, but song was pretty good and Nuno's guitar work was very pro

That new song does nothing for me. I can't believe Play With Me is one of the least played songs on that list. Nuno friggin rips on that one. Play With Me and Mutha are my favorites from those guys. His tone is just awesome!

I was thinking the same thing. He has always been a ridiculous player, and he does all that shit live too, unlike some other guys (cough, George Lynch, cough)...

there have been many concerts where Nuno didn't play a note from his leads

I saw Extreme play at Winter NAMM, Nuno has always been a monster player. I was glad to catch them at NAMM. That new Star song sounds good to me, much better than the crap on radio these days from bands who can hardly tune their instruments. I hope their tour goes well for them.

one of my fav. albums of the last few years is Nuno's band Dramagods debut... great rock'n'roll

he always stood out with his groove sensibility and funky style... that's why I liked him more than most of the other fretboard wizards

when it comes to rhythm playing then Nuno is the best in my book

Nuno's awesome. His playing is just so alive and interesting.

The tune is boring, or may be this is just the style. Would not give it a second listen.

Nuno has always ruled. Star is okay, kinda got used to Nuno being on his own (always thought Garys vocals were the weak link in Extreme)...wished he would have done more with his band Dramagods. Regardless, I already have my tickets for the upcoming Extreme show, hope all goes well.

I've always considered Nuno to be a great player with a killer groove, but although I own all of their albums, I think Extreme's songwriting could have been stronger. They seemed to almost "out-clever" themselves at times.

I actually think one of their strongest efforts was the unpopular "Waiting for the Punchline" album. Cool tunes and awesome production and guitar tones.

I prefer the last three songs over that new tune anyday. Better compositions, better songwriting and better production. Song For Love and Stop The World are my fave tunes by them.

The production sounds pretty "analog" ish on Stars, don't you think? Almost 70's type sounding. Especially the bass and drums.

I like it. Good groove, Nuno's playing (rhythm especially) is great. Good groovin' rock tune. I'm more of a hard rock guy than metal so this suits me fine. I think the band is at their best when they do the "regular" rock tunes like this than when they do the bloated stuff like on 3 sides, though there is no doubt that they are a talented band.

Lyrics are kinda questionable though and Cherone's "gayness" wears thin on me after a while...

All in all not bad. I'd rather hear more of this type of stuff than the sad crap we hear on the radio for the most part these days. Thank god for XM!
