I completely disagree with you, lead playing wise is lynch more recognizable and more unique.
I would say lead playing wise he is also more original. But rhythm playing goes to Nuno no arguing about that.

Lynch is the quintessential metal guitarist.
he wrote tons of shit that we all remember. he's an iconic metal player with huge memorable hooks and a signature "call&answer" solo style that's immediately recognizable.

I don't remember one Extreme tune. NB's a great player but he can't carry Lynch's jock strap.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

+3 Lynch had a much more distinctive style and tone than Nuno with as good if not better chops. Lynch chose to play more lyrically than many of the other 80's shredders but he certainly possessed a bag of tricks right up there with the best of them. It's maturity, restraint, and knowing how to play what's right for the song rather than just blowing notes to show off.

Also i must add that Lynch has created many really memorable melodies in solos.

Best use of horns is Waiting on a Friend by the Stones. the end of that song has it. Sorry.

NAMM 05 Nuno's all star Jam at the galaxy Lynch sat in with them. He looked lost trying to improvise. In between songs George was off in his old world just noodling around. Nuno turned to him ..

GEORGE!!! Shut the fuck up dude!

I thought III Sides to Every Story was a masterpiece; musically and lyrically. That album really turned me on to Nuno.

Then, I got Waiting for the Punchline, and was incredibly disappointed in the lyrics, and couldn't get past that to appreciate the music on that album.

It's got to be a package deal for me; "Star, your a star, yes you are, you'll go far..." just ain't cutting it. Sorry. Thumbs down. Finda better lyricist, Nuno, you deserve it.

Nuno still is one of my faves, but sheesh.

Extreme's lyrics have almost always been, eh, "gay" But I think Nuno's ability to step outside the realm on each album is where he stands out.

His first solo album and the Mourning Widows stuff is excellent and very Beatlesque.

Nuno is one guitarist that can shine without having to play flashy solos and that's what I dig about him.

I"ve always been a fan of these guys, despite their reputation as a "hair ballad band". Nuno fricken rips. Pretty cool tune. I"m just glad they're putting something else out

Just listen to Decadence Dance and hear Nuno rip it up on rhytym and lead, and the lyrics are pretty good too!

Exactly! If I could play rhythm like that, I'd think I had the world by the short hairs!

Gary was NOT the right guy to replace Hagar.

I thought 3 Sides had some decent lyrics but it was Nuno's technique that won me over. I used to always get compliments when I played the Bumblebee solo in our set a couple years back. His choice of notes sends shivers down my spine a la Randy.
