Gemini Five "Sex Drugs Anarchy". The best sleeze metal record i've ever heard, in the vein of Shotgun Messiah and early Motley Crue.

i must say, i feel nuno bettencourt is probably one of the most underrated players ever, amazing guitarist and excellent work inall of his bands from extreme to drama gods to mourning widows to satellite party. Love his workLast edited by maluco; 03-30-2009, 05:29 AM.

This is too cool! You guys have reminded me of a bunch of bands I'd forgotten and turned me on to some I wasn't familiar with.
Does anyone remember Burning Starr? Jack Starr formed the band after leaving Virgin Steele. His guitar work was killer, and he found a truly wailing vocalist in Mike Tirelli. "No Turning Back" in particular was one of my favorites.

Anyone mention Vicious Rumors? They might be considered too heavy to be called a "hair band" but they still rocked. Mark McGee and Geoff Thorpe were one kick-ass guitar duo!

I have ALL VR stuff from SOTN w/ Vinnie Moore to Warball with Brad Gillis.
But I'll mention this little 80's tidbit. This is from Adam Bomb's "Fatal Attraction" release featuring Jimmy Crespo. He's the one who took Joe Perry's place in Aerosmith on "Rock in a hard place".. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb-We...eature=related

Trying to think of stuff that hasn't been mentioned is the hard part. I really like the 80's stuff. I grew up and learned how to play guitar throughout that whole era. My favorite album to this day is still Back for the Attack-Dokken.
Here's a few I'm pulling out of my memory banks that may or may not have been mentioned:
Sleeze Bee's
Arcade-S.Pearcy's early 90's side project
Autograph-the band with the "other" Lynch
Banshee-really had some good tunes
Shadow King-Vivian Campbell side project/studio only
Vinnie Vincent Invasion-yes, I'll admit, I really like that first album for reasons unknown!
Here's a few for any fellow upstate New Yorkers:
Blitzen-excellent band. Their singer later went on to own a recording studio and recorded my band's first album
Maxx Thrust-another really good band from my neck of the woods
and then there's the band I'm in that has been around since '91/'92
UNTAYMED
our image has sure changed but the music is still in the same format and that's how we like it!

IMO though, my favorite album to come out (in the 80's style) is the : Marcello/Vestry album.2 BC Rich USA Gunslinger's-lightning bolt graphic
BC Rich USA Mockingbird-candy apple red metallic
BC Rich USA STIII-gray snakeskin
Ibanez RG770DX-lazer blue
Kramer Sustainer American-black
