  • I think Ralph was looking for bands that weren't quite as famous as Skid Row, Crue, etc etc.

    Anyhoo, how about Zebra?

And didn't David Chastain....excuse me...David T. Chastain (Yngwie reference ) play for Tygers Of Pan Tang? Wasn't the chick who sang for them called Pantera?

I wish I still had these scrap books I made back in 85-87. They were huge photo albums filled with pages and pics cut from Faces, Hit Parader, Circus, and tons of other (lesser) mags. I had everyone in there - Van Halen, Sabbath, Ozzy, Rhoads, Night Ranger, Motley Crue, WASP, Y&T (and my brother had an album of theirs from when they were named Yesterday and Today - we saw them open for someone, can't recall who), Lita Ford, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Helix, Keel, Accept.......everyone!

I had 4 or 5 of them. 50-100 pages each IIRC. I think I threw them away when I "grew up".
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

        • Anybody ever listen to The Storm or GTR? Definately not metal and didnt fall in the general pop arena either.

Little Caesar is another obscure late 80's/early 90's band. I couldn't get into them, but still have their s/t CD.

Has Fastway been mentioned yet? The Trick or Treat soundtrack is still one of my favorites!
Fastway was great. Love the Trick Or Treat soundtrack, too. I remember watching that movie and thinking how badass Sammy Curr looked. Now that I'm older, I tend to laugh more, through the movie, than anything.

Well then, I guess we will not be getting any more updates about him, then........

I've got their CD in my collection somewhere, and I saw them open up for Bruce Dickinson on the Accident of Birth tour.

                          Me too!

Also, I may have missed Thunder being mentioned. I thought "Backstreet Symphony" was a kick ass album.

                          • Anyone mention Victory (German) or Contraband?

Neither were incredible, but when they pop up on the old ipod, it's kind of nice.

                            • Yeah, Victory are excellent. I discovered them last year thanks to Pandora.com (which is now prohibited in the UK - cunts!), and had never even heard of them beforehand.
