  • For any interested Death fans...

I don't usually pimp our Severed Serenity stuff...But this is a cover of Death's "Crystal Mountain" we meant to do years ago...

Heres the thing...We call up this drummer Steve used to jam with down in Vancouver.

Steve asked him on MSN if he wanted to lay down the drum tracks for this...The dude says..."I haven't played Death stuff in a long time...But hold on..." He is away for about 20 minutes and he sends this file...It the frigging drum track for this song AND The Philosopher!

He did it with no guitars or anything!!! Totally of memory...only mistake was he was a bar short in one spot...we just copied and pasted an extra bar...

We sat on this track for years and finally decided to lay the rest down at my place last Saturday...

We broke up the solo and Steve takes the first (Tapping) part...

Interested to hear some feed back...Cuz to me...Chuck is the shit and we want to do him justice...

I think its the bottom of the track list...

Oh...BTW...What makes this "Jackson" is the fact that I used my XTRR! Obtained while I was on their "Artist List"...

I liked it! Well done! Maybe the vocaltiming is just a bit suspect, but great job otherwise!

As always, nice work, Dave! Don't you have a new guy doing vocals now, or is Steve still doing them on this?

P.S. Can I have your black cherry XTRR yet?!? I haven't bugged you about that in a long time. :ROTF:

The vocals seem to be a little too up-front, but otherwise it sounds great.

Hey guys, stay away from Coroner..I always wanted to to one of theirs.
