    In no order:

    Twisted Sister
    W.A.S.P.
    Iron Maiden
    Judas Priest
    Motley Crue
    Dio
    Stryper
    Van Halen
    Scorpions
    Y&T

I did not care for Rhoads/Ozzy in the beginning - I was a Sabbath fan, and Rhoads sounded nothing like Iommi

Didn't like the "Hair" bands that came after Crue like Warrant, Poison, Nelson, etc etc. Too girly.

Didn't get into thrash until the late 80s - sounded too much like Speed Punk - all noise with no substance. Plenty of screaming without saying anything. No melody.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

        Then
        VH
        Iron Maiden
        Judas Priest
        Scorpions
        Dio
        Ozzy
        Motley Crue
        Metallica
        RATT
        Def Leppard

        Now:
        Warrant
        Judas Priest
Metallica (pre And justice of course)
        Slayer
        RATT
        Guns N Roses
        VH
        Tesla
        Motley Crue
        Dio

It's killing me that I can't put these in either list (only 10 each!) I leaned to the "lighter side" for my then top 10 - but the others in the list were in the rotation.

        Black 'n Blue
        Armored Saint
        Accept
        Motorhead
        Metal Church
        Poison
        WASP
        Dokken
        Quiet Riot
        Anthrax
        ACDC

          Stand Tall was AWESOME

Never got into Enuff Z nuff and Rough Cutt for some reason. Y&T and Bon Jovi the same thing.

LA Guns was an interesting one that fit somewhere between motley crue and GnR, but didn't stick to your ribs as well for some reason.

          Nobody mentioned Europe?

I am just appreciating Hanoi Rocks in the last 5 years or so.

Yes, not all metal, but it's tough to whittle down to just 10!
