    He just tosses them!

"This is a '54 original Strat, one of the first ten ever made" *tosses it among the others*

You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

I guess if you have 100 guitars they kind of lose their value to you. I don't know how he tells them all apart. I'd be like "Here's my off-white strat. Here's another one. Here's another one."

Is it just me or is he turning into ELVIS?
I played his original "duck" when i met him before a show years ago and it played like a DOG!
it has a extremely high action and those damn scallops were deep man.
He was a very cool guy to me, even though many said he is a egomaniac
I found him to be very funny and a overall nice dude.
I guess he is just misunderstood by many?
        that man can play!
If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!

I wonder, how many of those 70's strats did he swap the pups out for his Dimarzios?

I can see the Elvis thing happening too!!

I also met him twice at L'Amours years ago & aside from being a bit ... or maybe very un-sober at the time he was pretty cool... No attitude except towards people that asked some pretty insulting questions.

Crazy collection... I've got a lot of guitars myself but he has one or two that could finance the replacement of my entire music room

Totally. I think I saw an old toasted ham, cheese, bacon, cheese more bacon more ham (or whatever the hell it was that killed elvis) sandwich behind one of those guitars.

The dude can play like nobody's business... but... I get extremely bored listening to it. Not that I can by any means play what he can, but listening to 150 notes per measure... every measure... just loses its novelty quickly IMHO.

I have a couple of bootleg DVD's of him just screwing around at his house. I can understand that sometimes his playing gets boring and repetitive. But, some of the stuff he does just noodling about at his house is unbelieveable. I think he tries to cater too much to his core audience on his albums. Some of the blues playing he does with a strat and a little fender practice amp are incredible. I think a lot of people would be surprised at how diverse his playing really is. I can't understand why he doesn't record any of his bluesy side.
