    Vai is just a mo fo' !

    Man...i think he may have just been using a combo amp, and Wah?
    Either way...what a tone, and what silky playing! Wish i had 6" long
    fingers! God gave me 6" toes instead.. :ROTF:

      Umm, I love VAI, but what the hell was that? Why even have a drummer and bass player there? Sounded like they were playing different songs.


      Oh ya, that was Jazz. Sorry, I would rather put on Slip of the Tongue and hear Vai with Killer Tone, Leadwork and Riffs. That video was just Jibberish.

                    Have you heard "Zero Order Phase" Jeff Loomis' Solo release?
                    Its a killer CD, and as a writer/guitarist he makes his mark equally along side of Vai, Gilbert and others with little effort.
                    Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

                    I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

                        I almost went to see it when Gilbert was touring but I wanted Vai there too and he wasn't so I backed out.
                        With Loomis, I'd go see that, regardless.

                            I'm probably going to get destroyed for saying this.

                            But am I the only one that doesn't think Steve Vai is good? Well, let me rephrase, he is good, there is no denying his abilities to play.

                            His tone is god awful, he has some good licks, but I just don't like his playing. =/

                            Oh, and Loomis on G3...I...would shit myself.
