Yeah man, i can't really understand why anyone would bag on him, he's an awesome guitar player, what gives?
He's playing fast for a world record, doesn't sum up his entire capabilities, and it doesn't suck anyway, i think it's frikin cool as hell myself.
I like everything, fast or slow with feel, people showing off Cool! Lets see it! keyboards, piano, (chopin rules), violin, SAY, anyone want to give Paganini shit for being the first shredder/metal musician a 100+ years before the electric guitar was invented? The guy was a maniac, and yea you bet there were people saying oh that sucked back then too, yet it lives on today.

I grew up listening to people playing fast, it's what got me into guitar, just like everyone else in the 80's ... i love slow playing, and all the feel BB King or Jeff Beck can muster, AND i like my Shred, It was the 100% absolute catalyst for me geting into music/metal/guitar. I applaud for the effort at very least. It's the hardest thing i've tried to accomplish in my life to be that fluid, weather i am using it only sparingly or full blown, i want that Technical skill period, it can only be a good thing for fuck sake.

I can play with feeling all day long, 3 notes every 15 seconds screaming pain and heartache, but i cannot now or (likely) will not ever be able to do what that dude just did.
