Bumping an old thread because I need some information.
So there was a movie called "The Wraith" that had Lion's "Never Surrender" during one of the race scenes: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=zx2QgPS4ssk&fmt=18
But it was sped up slightly, thus raising the overall pitch of the song... and I could tell the song just sounded different from the version that is on their album "Dangerous Attraction". The vocals sound slightly different (with more harmonies too) and there's keyboards. There are other less obvious differences too but I'd be nitpicking if I listed them.
So I dug around and found video with the full song, non-sped-up. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=xbdM6tyJYWM&fmt=18
If anyone has any information about the two different versions (like WHY two of them exist), I would greatly appreciate it!
I'm so obsessed with this band and can't wait to get my Bad Moon Rising collection in the mail.

I got two Bad Moon Rising cds while I was living in Japan a few years ago. I also got one of the Lion cds, all used and at a great price. Man, I loved going to those cd shops and browsing the used section.Breaking Point, my all instrumental CD available here:

These Bad Moon Rising albums kick serious ass. I'm noticing Doug using more single coil sounds with this band compared to when he was in Lion.
First one has a slightly sleazy side that wasn't evident as much in Lion, like a final salute to hair metal or something. Second one you can tell they're starting to shift their sound slightly. Third one has a grungey feel and I actually really like "Belligerant Stance" now... the video is fun.
I think I'm pretty comfortable that I now have all the stuff by the Kal/Doug team... including the Transformers theme in high quality, and "The Wraith" version of "Never Surrender". There's a few mediocre-quality acoustic videos of BMR floating around on Youtube so I'm not banking on finding high quality audio recordings of those. And now I can't view the original "Powerlove" video because the record company doesn't let non-American viewers access it. That was a fun video too.
These guys should have been huge. Poor Kal Swan, I hear he's given up music entirely and gone into hiding. What a waste.
