1st... I didn't come up and bitch at him after a show. He came up to me before the show and we were just talking.

As you mentioned about caring.... I really don't particularly care what "you" think was the issue either, since you weren't there, you don't have much of a clue what happened and it's silly of you to fabricate his reasoning with your know all attitude. I'm a pretty experienced sort of guy and I know what happened. And man, you talk as if i'm some naive stupid youngster fan whining. Ugh...

And I definitely dont take it personally and I don't judge him. He was one of my fav players and still is. Love that guys' playing.

Basically, I suppose that if you don't like my view I suppose you can leave too. I don't really need or care for your input.

I've been in the biz for 25 years and I truly understand the situation of touring on new material, trust me on that. I also figure he needs to placate his audience and sell some merch for gas to get home one as well. They might come back next tour if he does ok. I'll figure he lost some people that night.

From the screams I could hear all night, most of the people in the audience paid to see him doing the material he was famous for when he DI get airplay. I figure he needs to work a bit for the working class people that are truly who made him what he is and throw them a bone with what they want and not play obscure stuff stuff all night that sends them to the bar for a drink to wait for something familiar. It's that simple. LOTS of pro 80s acts learned that and tour heavily old material. Iron maiden, Queensryche, King Diamond, Slayer, the list goes on and on. His crowd, like most of this board, is stuck in the 80s or so. Capitalize on it and have fun.

What's with the hostility? I didn't say you went up to him, nor did I fabricate anything. I simply offered a possible reason for why he acted the way he did. That is all.

I'll figure it must be with the way you write/express yourself. I rarely take offense at people. But, I felt it immediately with you.

"Then he has a "fan" come up to him after a show and bitch to him that he didn't get to hear the music he came to hear and this shit blows. "

Hmm, yeah, that sort of thing makes me hostile. That's what YOU said and it's fabricating what happened and also says I came up to him. Read your own posts and maybe not feign ignorance as to why I'm calling you on it.

        Again, fairly simple.

Vinnie is cool. Cleve is cool. For whatever reason, Vinnie was a dick to Cleve one day. He's human, it happens. No reason to be dicks to each other here about it too.

For the record, though, Time Odyssey > Mind's Eye!

You would be wrong, but then again you were a vince sansevere fanboi so your opinion of me doesn't really matter.

Fanboy? Ahhh, so you are a fucking idiot, as I suspected. All "I" ever said said was I had a good transaction with him before I knew what he was about. And was amazed I didn't get fucked.

Peace out? Haha... More like punk out.

                Whatever...

Like anyone normal person here, I was cool with him till he showed he was an asshole (which he did quite well). Just like I was cool with you till you showed YOU were an asshole (hey, you did that pretty well also).

At least now that I know, I take that into account in listening to your silliness...

What's he got to do with this thread anyways? Is that all you could come with with when you realized your input was unwarranted and stupid to even mention?

Seems yelling Sansevere is sorta like bringing "Nazi" into a thread... Haha...

Never got into "Time Odyssey" all that much. For one thing, it always sounded to me like there were tuning problems with Vinnie's leads. "Mind's Eye" isn't all great, but the best parts are fantastic. I definitely think that Vinnie sounds better not doing the neo-classical stuff, even though he's good at it.

Hey D, since you don't post often, I can't recall any topics, conversations, or probs we had. But your intial post does come off provocative no matter what intention. But, while John was being somewhat diplomatic. You made the fatal error of making a completly unnecessary coment that put you in douchery status.

Now, as you may know John is my "real life" bro. Therefore I have his back. Nope, scratch that..I'll handle this matter.

Now we could handle this one or two ways. We can be cool and just drop it, or we can continue this silly bullshit 'till fuggin' doomsday.

                        Its your call..

That's because we never did. In all fairness I don't think I did with CM either, and there was no intention here either regardless of what either of you think. In fact, I actually agree with CM's point of view. My post was just from Vinnie Moore's perspective is all. I, too, would expect to hear the old stuff, but I don't feel entitled to it.

There is a difference. I have met many famous people, plenty of which are rock stars, when I did security for them at one time or another, and now in all forms of media in my current position. They are no different than anyone else and sometimes have a bad day, or just really don't give a shit about you or I. That is all I was getting at. Oh, and I would like to address CM's post above. He claims he was "cool with me until I showed I was an asshole...." Not true. Go reread my post. I never attacked him or was an ass. Not that I really care one way or the other, but I always considered CM a tougher guy with thicker skin and in no way see how I could have offended him since I didn't say anything against him. I pointed out how someone ELSE could have been offended is all. Read the line where I said, something to the effect, "...even if you didn't say this Vinnie prob heard it this way."

Either way I am cool with you guys. You can hate me forever if you want. I hope not, but what am going to do about it? I vote for drop it and rock on. I did say peace out and got ripped for that to. Whatever. I wish you the best. Words in a post tend to lose their true meaning. If this conversation happened over a beer at a show, I doubt there would have been a problem.

Ok D, Now that you elaborated on the hypohtical scenario you posted above, I understand your intent. I know how things can be misunderstood in print. I also understand that people are people no matter of status. I've escorted and spoke with countless folks including George Bush, John McCain, Al Gore, Hugh Hefner, Donald Trump and even invited on King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia peronal plane..who gave me a very nice pen..and a dinner..umm, fit for a king. Yes, even people with power ..fart, stink, bleed, breath and die like anyone else.

Since I retired I've had to learned how to "talk" on this forum. Seven years and almost 21,200 posts later, I'm much better recieved than I was years ago. I don't think any members actually "hate" me these days, even tho I'm the exact same guy.

Whenever I feel insulted, disrespected or whatever, I often retort with a low blow(s). ie, Sansavere and I crossed paths on the JCF. I only know of him from years of being on this forum. His name here has the same effect as screaming bomb on a plane. But as you said, if this conversation was in person, there wouldn't be any misunderstanding or issues.

I do know John had a fallout with that asshole shortly after their transaction. That was well before most members hated that guy. A possible beginning of the end for that goof around here. That was around early 2002 when John introduced me to the JCF. Now, he's in jail! So it was meant to be!

I often wondered how this Sanavere and I would've played together. I can assume..not good! I can smell a jive wannabe con a mile away. Ironically, my own brother is a carreer criminal, a well known con man amoung many local police departments and feds. We've always mixed like oil and water our whole lives..unfortunately.

                            That's cool, ..we're good.

Believe it or not Vinnie is my cousin and lives not far from me in northern DE. I see his dad all the time and he tells us some outrageously funny shit of what Vinnie did as a kid. He also used to be my grandma's mailman.

Speaking of Eyetalian, his mom is.

I live here in the tiny state of Delaware maybe 10 miles from Vinnie. Have run into him a bunch of times and he really is a nice guy. He is always in the local music store. He always takes the time to talk to anyone who may know him. I understand that not everyone has a good day everyday, but Vinnie is truly a nice person.
