  • What's the royalty % of a pro endorsement?

What's the typical, going rate for a Lynch, DeMartini, Mustaine, Hammett, etc?
Does it differ from company to company?
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

I'd be willing to bet that it's negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Yeah, absolutely. I'm sure Kirk Hammett would get way more than the bass player from Lamb of God for example. Purely because of records and instruments sold...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

There's a couple of guys that I know who get 15% off the sale of a piece.. but they are BIG names with multiple pieces of sig gear.
As above, it has to do with popularity, units moved, demand...etc..

I've seen in interviews where Steve Vai said he's made more money on his Ibanez endorsement deal than anything else.

I heard wylde got $250,000.00 check 2 years ago just for epiphone sig alone. That was just for the year. I don't know if it's true though.

Don't Jackson pay their endorsees nothing at all? That's why they don't really have any, while the likes of Dean and ESP have loads.
Sure I read that on here.

This is something I have wondered about as well. You see some very brand loyal players, while others seem to jump ship as the winds change direction.

I am sure there are lots of deals that never go thru, but to hear more about the ones that are in place is interesting...at least to me~

There's a difference between endorsers and signature artists.

Jackson has many endorsers, but only a handful of sig artists.

A signature artist has an instrument with their name on it (literally or figuratively), like the PC1, Demmelition V, etc. I can see them getting a cut.
