There's a couple of guys that I know who get 15% off the sale of a piece.. but they are BIG names with multiple pieces of sig gear.
As above, it has to do with popularity, units moved, demand...etc..

There's a difference between endorsers and signature artists.
Jackson has many endorsers, but only a handful of sig artists.
A signature artist has an instrument with their name on it (literally or figuratively), like the PC1, Demmelition V, etc. I can see them getting a cut.
