I bought it as soon as it came out, at first I liked a few of the songs, Shackler's Revenge, Better and Prostitute all stood out. The rest was good but a little dissapointing. I wasn't expecting use your illusion III but in the back of my mind I was you know? Anyway, I listened to it a few times and I love it now. My only annoyance with it though is the start of Street of Dreams, if that was a guitar it would have had a cool patience-esque vibe to it but with the piano it sounds funny. It's cool for Axl to try new things but that one shouldn't have left the studio (with the piano I mean).Comment

that title track is awful. it's so bad they should be embarrassed (though I'm certain Axl lacks that trait by this point). such a basic E-G-A progression with a A# thrown in for accent. please. 10 years for this shit? what a fucking joke. the fact that the singer is so serious about it makes it entirely laughable.

Looks like they are not seeing the sales numbers they expected. Probably thought those numbers checking out the Myspace were an indication. That was purely morbid curiosity.
So, now they are blaming Dr frikkin Pepper! LMAO!!!! Dr Pepper made GN'R fans mad at Axl...Yeeeeeah....riiiiight. The 14 year delay of a mediocre album had nothing to do with it...Good God...I am quite sure that the fans who put up with Axl's pre Madonna concert cancellations and delays are un fazed by not getting a free soda!

Yep. Most of the songs come off as being an ego trip, IE a "Look at how well I can do music bitches!" type deal. Really sad if you think about it. Chinese Democracy is alright, Shackler's Revenge is cool except for the noise solo, IRS makes no sense but has a good beat. the rest of the album is forgettable.
