You would like how I have it sounding. Those 6 tung sols did the trick. I was swapping tubes all day...again. I HATE the stock JJ/Tesla..man do they sound weak, thin, and fizzy. Even the Sovtek ECC's and LPS had a, immiediate thicker gain in the V1 and V2 than the JJ/Tesla preamp tubes. So, I had a bug up my ass and took apart my JMP-1 and tried the JJs in there..FUCK NO!!!! The Sovteks kick their ass in there too. The Tung Sols definitely gave the JMP-1 a bit more gain that I did like. So, I will be ordering a couple more for the Marshall. It took me about 8 hours to confirm I have absolutely no use for JJ/Tesla 12ax7s, FUGGUMS..Not in the Marshall or Bogner. You haven't heard a Uberschall until you take out those garbage preamp tubes and try a set of tung sols..it changes everything for the better. The tung Sols gives me more lows and highs..the JJs are actually a MUCH "darker" tube..no bottom and no presence..just thin, fizzy, harsh mids.

Fuck JJ/Tesla 12ax7s..they're garbage!!

For one he's playing it thru a Uber..and it's the same player. Even with those two VERY important variables..you still can hear the difference.

At least that (TWNAH era) is when it was added to his live rig. He had been using it pretty religiously since then up until recently. Lately he's been using something by Digitech I believe.
