    does that make sense?
I agree, my Tele sounds kickass from clean, to twang, to high gain. Very versatile.

Sure, its not gonna sound like a soloist or rhoads run through a soldano/uber/5150 etc. or lend itself to wicked heavy palm-muted riffs given the nature of the design and the pups, but it can get closer to a metal vibe than my KV2 can to a country vibe. (Not that that's the intent with a KV2, but just sayin....)

He's pretty creative..just bought an album yesterday (damaged?). Saw him live w/Rob Zombie in a 600 person club here in flagstaff...solid player. He used a bit of "Eruption" in his guitar solo...sorry but that's cheesy. I wish I could play country like that.

The video did look very "stiff" for him....

Didn't he "blow" like $130,000+ on one of his guitars?

Oh no, what's that I see, second guitar from the left? Could it be a Telecaster? Even worse, is that a Gretsch White Falcon in the mix? Shame on you James, that's not metal!

                Old news is so exciting

The white falcon has been pictured many times and is also in the nothing else matters vid made 17 years ago.

For John so loved the Tele that he gave up the single coils and installed humbuckers and burned the fretboard in everlasting hell!

No, different Lowery. Clint Lowery from Sevendust has two brothers who were also in bands, but they're no relation to John "5" Lowery.

I'm not saying teles are crap, or that great players haven't used them - just that for the sort of playing in the original vid it looks out of place. IMO.

And using James Hetfield as an example of "metal"....well I suppose you did say you were being extremely sarcastic!
