Saw them on the Clash of the Titans touring Persistence of Time against Rust in Peace and Seasons in the Abyss. Anthrax stole the show, which I never would have dreamed possible. I still don't know how they did/do it, much respect to the core of Anthrax and Spitz and Belladonna. To me Bush sounds like he's constipated (saw Armoured Saint with Suicidal Tendencies and hated them), so I dropped my interest at Sound of White Noise. Some one let me know if they make another "I Am The Law", or "Belly of the Beast".

How about a little "Intro To Reality", one of my favorite instrumentals for years.

Those two have killed Anthrax stone dead now with their treatment of their singers.

BTW for you guys who don't like the Bush era much, check out "Cadillac Rock Box" or "Takin The Music Back" on Youtube.

I really liked this album as well. Not sure why everyone else seems to hate it. /shrug

I'm definitely in the minority here, but I like Volume 8. I also saw them before Bush got replaced and they put on one hell of a show. They even covered Metallica's Whiplash for the encore.

Hmm. Interesting. Anthrax died a long time ago.

Among the Living, like Master, Reign and Testament's The New Order, set standards in the genre which few have come close to being well behind, let alone approaching. In some respect, once you get to that level, I think it is very hard for a band to survive because people are always going to be comparing/criticizing them for whatever comes next. Anthrax, like Metallica and Master, put out a couple of decent albums after Among, but after that, dead. Its probably better that way.

Once Bush joined Anthrax I was done.

Everything before that is some classic, headbangin', goofy ass lyric, beer drinkin', mosh pit fun. And I still love it.

First three records I like a lot, but after Amon The Living I started enjoying songs as opposed to the whole album and I didn't like the change of direction for Sound Of White Noise on...

I like the pre-bush era stuff. Nothing against him I just prefer him in Armored Saint more than Anthrax. Scott and Charlie have always been tight with one another. The times that they would hang out after shows that I was at they(Scott and Charlie) seemed to keep to themselves, Frank and Joey rubbed elbows with the fans, and Dan tried not to get stepped on. Lately I have been cleaning the house to spreading the disease which drives the wife and kid nuts.

Only Anthrax cds I've got are State of Euphoria, Persistence of Time and Attack of the Killer B's. I'm thinking that I need to go back and pick up some of their earlier stuff...

I agree. I liked Bush a lot more with Armored Saint. I tend to stick with Spreading the Disease as well. Its definitely my favorite Anthrax cd.
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

Same here...........until I heard "Greater of 2 Evils", I can't listen to that early stuff now, it sounds shite.

                            I nearly broke her back

Belladonna still tours. Apparently he is still big in like South America. The guitar player in his band was telling me people get all decked out in 80's attire and come out to the shows. He said every venue they played was sold out.

Anthrax, while not only a badass band, were the most marketable Thrashy band, It would be interesting to see what the fuck happened!

                                but they were awesome.
