Billy Milano looks really young in that photo Toejam. Kevin Arnold's brother looks the same as I remember him from the programme, apart from the mullet.
I really wanted to make fun of this photo at first, but then realized I was the same age back then and had an awesome jean jacket with the Metallica logo patch across the back and hair like the guy on the far right.
I was a huge fan of Armed and Dangerous, Among the Living, and Spreading the Disease. Then State of Euphoria cam out, and although it had some good songs on it, it seemed that Anthrax had become too goofy or something. Almost a parody of themselves. Then Joey left, and they had a few decent albums out, but I never did get into John Bush's singing. It just sounds too generic and forced. I went to see them when Stomp 442 came out, with Life of Agony opening for them and to be brutally honest, L.O.A. stomped the fuck out of Anthrax. The guys from Anthrax were cool though. They hung around outside afterwards and signed my CD.
I haven't listened to Anthrax in years. I loved Fistful with Neil Turbin, all the stuff with Joey, even SOWN and Stomp 442 with John. I just stomped listening to them after that. When I did last listen to the stuff with Joey, I didn't care for his voice as much as I used to. I prefer John.
My first concert was Anthrax on the Among The Living tour in 1987, at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. I was 15. Actually met Billy Milano at that show, and he was very cool!
Here's a big pic of myself and two friends with Billy. I don't know who the chick is, just someone who worked there and was selling candy. I'm pretty sure her hair killed the ozone. I'm the short guy with the glasses.
Christ almighty Joe, you look like Dana Carvey there!! :ROTF:

that's how i always felt - to me it started with "i'm the man." thrash was pretty serious business then, and to have one of the best bands come out with a rap tune - and a stupid one at that - kinda hurt them. then "euphoria" which i DO like had its moments.
then with "persistence of time" it seemed they were trying to be serious again - but, as i KEEP saying - the damage was done. they had gotten written off as clowns.
the jams shorts and the skateboard look could have worked if the were from LA - but being from NYC, it didn't make much sense. then you had scott in the addidas wear and chains for a while, looking like run dmc....
man, it's good to be yourself and do what you want, but you gotta think of your "scene" and fans and business....
it would be like if those fellows in gorgoroth (the ones from that creepy video thread) started dressing in pink tu-tu dresses with poison make-up and came out with a black metal cover of a ricky martin song....THEN followed THAT with an album of def leppard covers...THEN followed that with an album that that saw them return to their "black metal roots", titled "satan's brown eye- my home, suite 665.9"

LOL That's funny! I've never heard that one before, but I've heard I looked like Ozzy, Bruce Willis, Phil Anselmo and Rob Halford when I had a crewcut and was practically bald.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

hmmm, i didn't know that. how ironic. and you are right, it really doesn't matter at all. though, most of the gay guys i know wear leather and spikes, not dresses!!! they totally have the man-o-war and rob halford thing going on....oiled, testosterone muscle bodies that they cover in leather straps with studs....
GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!
AHHHHH....Yeah.....Mark...see...
I knew it was out there somewhere...
Nothing wrong with a man and his right to wear a tutu...Not bashing or making fun...Just thought your analogy was so close to fact, that it was kinda funny! Nice legs actually...Can't really blam him for showing them off...
