  • John Sykes song on "Merry Axemas" CD

Has anyone heard this? ...it ROCKS! It's on "Merry Axemas 2"

Does he have any instrumental/solo cd's with a sound similar to this?

oh yeah, that tune is fucking great... but John usually doesn't do instrumentals... I'd say the closest to it with it's modern vibe and breakbeat rhythms is the Nuclear Cowboy album.

DUDE that song ROCKS!!!! fucking love it, deffinetly one of my fav ones on those cds. Just the complete vibe of it it's just killer. I like how it starts and the dive bomb in there... so he didn't record it with his LPs, I would like to know hat he used for that one.

I just played it and my wife told me to turn it off as it was "doing her nut in".
I liked it, but like a few of those songs, what the fuck do they have to do with Xmas? Some of them are just random soloing, not christmassy at all.

You got it right with your smiley "nut" means Head! In Scottish parlance.

Yeha some are just like that and I don't like them. But man the one from Satch, Vai, Gilbert, Morse... and even the kick ass acoustic one from Zakk is great
