  • New Cannibal Corpse!

    http://www.cannibalcorpse.net/
Right there on the homepage. Sounds fucking crushing. Almost a sludgy Morbid Angel vibe to it.
I actually lost interest in CC back in high school after hearing Vile. Not one of the "purists" that hated Corpsegrinder, it's just their music got kinda stagnant to me.
Come several months ago, I picked up "Centuries of Torment". By far the best band documentary DVD I've ever seen. 7 plus hours of footage, and not once does it drag. Watching it, and hearing CC's material I missed out on for over a decade after Vile definitely got me back into the band. Pat O'brien brought a great new sound to the band when they needed it.
Anyway, this will be a release date purchase for me. Let the "Cookie Monster" bashing begin!

I have Centuries of Torment, I actually sat there and watched it with my mom. she said, and I quote it as she said it "They seem like really nice kids."

The funny thing is, none of them act like assholes, it was a really great documentary. I am looking forward to the new album
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

I've only listened to the first couple of riffs and already I'm loving it. It's sounding huge and heavy. Sounds like 7 strings being used too.

I love both bold and new Cannibal Corpse, as well as Six Feet under, Obituary, Deicide, etc...
        Good stuff man!

Barnes, Fisher, Benton, and Tardy are among the few who do what they do, and do it convincingly.

CC just keeps on going. Same with SFU and Deicide (although I think my geat fondness for Stench of Redemption was largely about Santolla's insane guitar work).

ive been a huge corpse fan since i was in middle school. they are what made me want to actually be able to play the guitar well. they are also one of the few bands to "never puss out". six feet under is not even in the same league, graveyard classics I and II are the best they have to offer imo
