You just found out about Destruction? They are part of the top 3 biggest thrash bands of Germany, all existing for over 20 years: Sodom, Kreator and Destruction.
They have some nice songs (THE BUTCHER!, nailed to the cross) but I don't really like the latest albums... Too much filler songs. You do picked some of their best songs from Youtube.

Sodom and Kreator are imo better.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. I haven't listened to them in probably close to 20 years. http://www.destruction.de/discography_14_en.html

lol, well, great that some of the old school masters are still getting discovered.
Destruction are one of the first BlackThrash bands ever, Celtic Frost, Possessed, Venom, Kreator, and Bathory, all were the forerunners of extreme music today.

Check out Destruction's re-recording of a bunch of their best stuff on "Thrash Anthems". Some great stuff.

I bought their first album when it came out but haven't listened to anything from them since. It's cool to know they are still kicking.

Ya really, I should have known who they were

Too be honest I was really into american thrash/speed metal bands at the time and didn`t stray much. I was pretty closed minded for many years

Our bassist has been telling me all about them. back in India, Sodom and Kreator were very big in the late 80's early 90's. but american bands like Slayer, metallica and Megadeth soon dominated and we never got exposed to bands like destruction. I listened to one of their newer albums and loved it. cant wait to listen to their older stuff.
