I just heard "In My Dreams" on the radio this morning. What a great solo and tone.

How many want to go back to the 80s for good?

I'm hoping the tour w/ Gilbert & Kotzen gives him a jump-start. I've got to think (or at least hope) he's been working on the chops to gear up for that. Plus there's the new Lynch Mob release in the works. I think he's got something left in the tank, and maybe just needs to collaborate with the right people to bring it out.

can't wait for the new Lynch Mob album!

George seems to play better than a few years ago but his latest "thing" is being spiritual which is pretty funny, let me describe...

First, he is very stoned, a lot of what he says doesn't make much sense or is just funny. He spends a lot of time in a desert, away from civilization. He visits strange ghosts towns near deserts to meet hippies and cowboys.
He has a ranch in the desert. It's in a small valley, there's all kinds of rocks and cliffs. He has huge stacks of cabinets in the middle of the valley, miced. At the same time he is on his ranch's patio, 100 yards away from the stacks, playing his guitar while some dudes are inside the ranch recording all of that. That bleeds in some nice valley echo and desert vibe to the guitar tone. He finds other interesting places to record. There's a weird dome-like building in a dessert which has 2 stairs. It was built buy some nutjob who got the instructions for the house from aliens. On the top floor, in the center of the room, there's a small hole going through the roof and above it one goes through the floor which suppose to go to the center of the earth. Anyway in the middle of the room, where the holes are, there's this really strange and unique echo/verb. George uses it for recording. And that's new Mr. Scary :ROTF:

As long as it sounds cool & they come up with some good tunes! Not much different than Page buying Crowley's place or the RHCP staying in a haunted house or whatever they did.

Song sucks...but the solo was cool...of course it's just this...played
back in 92'... Same bad ass licks! George is the MAN!! I bought the
Zoom G2 Lynch pedal today..... it's ok..but mostly thin, and no balls...so
back it goes to Sam! At least i tried it out...but i was supposed to
instantly have this tone! And flair...and edge...and... i didnt! LOL

Yea who gives a shit, if it screams. While not the fastest or smoothest guitarist, I really always thought his placement of stops, slides and bends really made him stand out,or the mood of the song..he can grab a note and fucking get everything it has in it out.
