A drill? Like at the start of "Poundcake" or what Paul Gilbert uses?

I'd have thought any power drill at all would work. Obviously something lighter would be better, rather than trying to use something like the hammer drill I have for DIY.

But I've never tried it, so I don't know.

You'll need to put a variac on the drill to get the right sound, though.

Go into your mother's/sister's/wife's/female roommate's bedroom and check by her nightstand or dresser for something that may look like an electric toothbrush w/o a brush on it. It might smell funny or have some residue on it. Don't worry, wipe all that off and use it like EVH would.

Hell no.....Don't even think of using the colors red, white or black. Those colors are trademarked. Once the final coats dry, you will recieve a "Cease and Desist" letter. I don't know how Makita still gets away with selling that drill!!

I use a cheapo 7.2 volt...Dewalt I believe. I have not painted it yet. HEHEHE. I use it like Gilbert. A dowel rod split with two picks epoxied in. You can turn it side ways and do some wicked slide effects too. I bust it out when I am really drunk and stupid and make my other guitarist look like he knows what he is doing.
