        I like very few, but Satch's 'The Extremeist' and Vai's 'Alien Love Secrets' are great...

                it's a toss up between "first impressions" or "away with words" by jim matheos and "scenes" by marty friedman
                GEAR:

                some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

                some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

                and finally....

                i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

                          There's a new live Jeff Beck CD & DVD that I recently saw "Live at Ronnie Scotts". Killer performances.

                                I was surprised to see some of the lesser known instrumentalists that I thought only I knew of. Great to see Kitaro and James Matheos!!!
                                I'll also add - even though some are only individual songs not albums:

                                Michael Schenker/UFO - Lipstick Traces
                                Michael Schenker - Into the Arena, Bijou Pleasurette, Captain Nemo
                                Gary Moore - The Loner
                                Uli Jon Roth - Winterdays
                                Rush - any instrumental they ever did
                                Steve Morse - High Tension Wires
