  • Jake E Lee rumor mill...

Chip Znuff and Steven Adler were on Eddie Trunks XM show a couple of weeks ago. Chip Znuff mentioned that Jake played on Enuff Znuff's new record. Of course, callers started calling in and asking questions about Jake. One of the things that Chip mentioned is that Sharon Osbourne has contacted Jake about touring with Ozzy if Zakk passes on the guitar slot. Has anybody heard more about this?

It would be pretty cool if Jake got back in the game. I always liked his fiery playing.

    Sounds like rumour.

My bet is Sharon would try to arrange a reality 'viewers votes' show for Ozzy's next guitar player

I don't believe this for one second. It would be cool, but still don't believe it.

I actually listed to the show, so its not like I heard this from someone else. There must be SOME truth to this if Chip said it. He also said that Jake isn't into touring at all. Who knows...

Just to be clear, I'm not doubting that you heard that. I just don't think they would want Jake. I thought there was some pretty bad blood between them.

True, but at least from the Osbourne's perspective, having Jake onboard would renew interest in Ozzy's live show. That would bring in more $$$, which is Sharon's motivation behind everything she does. If Jake's in a tough spot financially, you never know.

He was supposed to tag along with Gilbert, Lynch & Kotzen on the Guitar Generation shows here in SoCal, but there was no sign of him...thinking there might be other issues at hand...

If Jake were back with Ozzy, I'd buy Ozzy albums again. I stopped after Ozzmosis came out in the mid '90s.

He could very well still be fighting his demons... Its definitely a shame.

I think the last good Ozzy album was No Rest For The Wicked, but I bought every one of Ozzy's albums because I always hoped for another good album.
Everyone of them has atleast one or two good songs, but as a whole nothing came close to "No Rest"

I'd love to see Jake back with Ozzy, but I dont think anything will ever become of that.
There's alot of loose ends with the original Sabbath that need tied up, like that elusive 'new album' that I've been hearing about since 1999...
I'd rather have a new Sabbath album than anything else really.

Jake's not "cartoony" enough to be accepted by the sort of crowd Ozzy attracts these days. Plus I rather hope he'd have more dignity than to take the gig.

The Badlands cd's are some of the best IMO. I stopped listening to Ozzy after Jake left.

If they can get EVH cleaned up enough to tour, there's hope for Jake. Jake rules! Zakk drools!

I can't imagine that bringing Jake back into the fold would be good for ticket sales...only us old farts even know who he is. Been to an Ozzy show recently? It's 80% teenagers who only know Zakk. They would probably lose more fans than they would gain with that move (even though I would be stoked )
