While I'm a big fan of experimentation, didn't like this at all. I wouldn't call it noise, other than the guitar. There were some pretty cool bass lines in there. Hate the beats coming from turntables...use a real drummer. The track would have sounded better as just a drum and bass jam. The guitar was just a bunch of squeaks and squeals. It actually was more annoying than entertaining. Certainly would never consider this genius.

I watched the whole thing!
I got into some of those art-rock/avant-garde types like Belew and Fripp.
Though the player in that vid was somewhat one dimensional compared to the likes of those just mentioned, I'd be interested in hearing more of him.
Who is he?

I listened to the whole thing. Hmmmm.
I was curious enough to tap into a couple more Mick Karn vids, just to see if everything was like that. This was in the same vein, but with a live drummer and different guitar player: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46BiS...eature=related
It's a bit reminiscent of Mahavishnu Orchestra (which I never liked).
The video you posted is more like a garage band trying to pull off a Hendrix or Cream imitation, and not quite doing it. Maybe if the guitar player was in tune, and the track was mixed/recorded properly (looks and sounds like it was done with an iPhone).
Just my $.02. I've heard worse (pity me.)WarPig____________________________________________
