Not to mention Steve Smyth didn't get it at all...

It's funny how many people are interlinked, when you take a look at just Nevermore.

Warrel and Jim were under Dave's watch when in Sanctuary and making the Refuge Denied. Jeff auditioned, as did Chris and Steve. Thinking of Steve- Tim and Steve have been in Forbidden, and if you've time, that would start a whole vicious circle of Testament, Slayer, Vio-Lence, Machinehead, Death, Dragonlord, Apocalyptica, Voodoocult, Kreator, Control Denied, and a whole shitload of others, eventually ending with Nevermore. It's funny how close this comunity is.

They're a little more ambiguous, but Hetfield's mother died because Christian Science denied her cancer meds and Leper Messiah can be applied to many sects, but I think he wrote it with them in mind.

NO, actually Jeff's favorite album is "Ride The Lightning"..that was the record that made him want to play guitar. He told me this, but by the mid to late 90's, and beyond Metallica became pretty insignificant to so many metaheads..not just me. I'm just the messenger.

Bands like Nevermore were the new breed, metal forged on just fine without Lars and co. ..and Metallica forged on completely fine without metal...so it's a wash.

I learned a Megadeth song last night.

I lost my mind, I lost all my money
I lost my life to the killing road
