yeah Larry sings alright... not many know what he did outside Fly & The Family Stone... his own band Graham's Central Station, where he is the frontman, goes way back... so much amazing bass playing on GCS records.

Val bought me a '76 Alembic "Exploiter"..It was Eric Carmen's. I posted that gay video with that bass in it.

Here it is..BEWARE this video is FEROCIOUS!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Y155i2XzA

That thing was gorgeous! But I hated the arm position..it killed my elbow. Then the fucker had double truss rods and that bastard fretboard split from the 14th to the 18th fret when the weather changed. So I doctored it up with stain and wood putty and sold the fucker. I never heard from that guy. Maybe it held up. That bass listed for $4,600 in '76.

              cool!

during that era I think Ronnie Wood did some of the most ferocious and ballsiest bass playing... he is way better bassist than a guitarist.. his playing on Jeff Beck Group albums was fucking great

just listen to this, his bass sounds so heavy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pofeh0cAEIE
