      Thanks

Now I just have to get the second solo up to speed as well.

In all the live clips, whoever is the lead guitarist for Megadeth at the time would just play both solos as one big solo... but the Guitar Pro tab I have divides it into two solos.

Marty's phrasing is very hard to copy (for me), but I learned a lot trying to do that.

The entirety of the first solo.

I have learned 80% the second solo, but not up to tempo. Main challenge for me is the big stretches in the middle of the second solo... I can do the (frets 10 - 17 on high e string) stretch when I play slow and not in time... but can't play that fast.

At first I thought the guy who tabbed it must have tabbed it wrong, there is no way the original was written like that.... but all the live clips of past Megadeth lead guitarists show that they DO play it that way live. So I am just sucking it up and practice practice practice...

The GP5 tab I have of this song is pretty good (IMO) If anyone wants it, just send me a PM with your email.

Cool, but nothing beats the chemistry of the Marty Menza era. That 8 finger tapping thing is so gay.

new guitarists in Megadeth can never win. They're either not as technically good as Marty; technically as good but not as fluid/lyrical/musical as Marty; technically better than Marty but don't have "the chemistry"

And of course, all the Becker fans will argue that Marty is a hack compared to 19 year old Jason

Well considering that Megadeth's most popular and probably most successful era was with Nick and Marty, it's pretty hard for a new guitarist to come in and take over Marty's role. They've had some good guitarist and Chris Broderick is probably way beyond Marty in terms of a "technical" standpoint, but I'm sure if him and marty were chopping heads marty would show him what's up.

I'm a gigantic Becker fanboy, probably sick in the head how big of a fan boy I am, but there's no way Marty's a hack, Marty was so influental on Beckers playing it would be insulting to even imply that.

I've seen Megadeth twice back in '92, again in '95, and both times I was blown away by how amazingly *tight* they were, and it looks like they've "still got it" regardless of the line-up changes.

Well, I downloaded this show/DVD to check out this particular lineup.
They (Megadeth) spent some of the money where it needed to be, on the production of this show/DVD and it paid off. It's been mixed well and sounds really good for a live gig which in essence makes it easier to catch the tightness of this lineup.

This lineup is a very good one. I'm very curious to a new release with this lineup, it should be one of the better Megadeth releases in years, if Dave doesn't screw it up.

I like it so much I plan to go buy it (DVD).
One of those shows/DVDs to add to my library of DVD concerts.

Be sure to watch it on your big TV, you get the feel and vibe of it better.
Needless to say it will sound way better on the big TV with the large 5.1 speakers.
Oh yes, I was rockin it up, I enjoyed myself.

                            Happy Fourth gang.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

"Anyone who tries to fling crap my way better have a really good crap flinger."

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

Ever listen to George Benson? He 'scats' and voices each note he is
playing. Its gets real tough, when he is blazin some jazz scales. But
its cool to listen to. Luckily for me, Roland made the GR-20 Synth!
I get to do it via midi.
