He he, the new guitarist will probably get to re-record all Zakk's parts for the re-issues.

I agree Ozzy should hang it up. Hell I saw him probably five or six years ago on Ozzfest and it was pathetic.I had to look away. he can't hit the notes,he can't remember the words he can't move.It was basically a few hits, long guitar solo, long bass solo, long drum solo, a few more hits, good night! i was very bummed. I have seen Ozzy five times starting with BATM tour. I respect what he's done but enough already. He has not put out an album worth listening to in years.

Type of thing. Because I KNOW Zakk would do the same thing if the tables were flipped.A couple years later and I'm still waiting for my free Epi Buzzsaw guitar! :ROTF:

Also I read in an interview that he had ABSOLUTELY no clue about that ad. He said they basically used his face and name without consent. He said he felt terrible because BLS was still relatively small and this would not win fans, and that if he EVER met that douche, he would beat his fucking ass up and down the street, or something to that extent.I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

As a follow-up, you see stories time to time of bands that were recording in the same studio as zakk. They say he does all his own grunt work, and is a very nice chill guy to chill with. He is the kinda guy you can kick back and enjoy a few cold ones with while talking about music.I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

As for Ozzy, he's done anyway. I'd be totally shocked if his next album was worth checking out. He's what? 147 yrs old?

John 5 blew my mind with his 2 part harmonizing on "Welcome to the Jungle"... im sure he can handle Ozzy riffs! He's a monster player.
What i would like to see...would be Brad Gillis back !! He still has
the chops! Now that would be a walk down memory lane.
You know Ozzy is probably on his excercise bike with his walkman on'...and it was just Sharon who sent out the bad news to Zakk!
Lets see Jake do this !!

Zakk Wylde acting like a drunken hard man? No, I don't believe it. Musta been someone else. Zakk's not forged an entire career out of his drunken biker dude image, you must be thinking of someone else.

Although Ozzy stopped being real relavent years ago, it's not him that needs to hang it up. It's Sharon. Her decision-making has been making a clown out of him for years, now. Dropping Zakk is a career move that has career control-freak Sharon's smelly taint all over it.
The best thing that could happen to Ozzy's career (and probably his health, too) would be for him to drop Sharon like the money-grubbing, Hollywood douchery-spewing, blood-sucking leech whore that she is.

LOL
ozzy sounding too much like BLS ... well, that's because zakk is copying everything he does with ozzy and applies it to BLS, which results in the same sound and everything.
seriously.. ozzy had good stuff in his day but he's so far done, it's ridiculous! You can't play no muthfuggin' arpeggios on a tuba...

Zakk got fired in 1995 because he was trying to schmooze his way into Guns 'n' Roses. Since he got back in he's been big on the "Boss" schtick, but he's drank more and more while his playing and writing have gone downhill. I don't doubt he's been privately warned to shape up, but figured he could brownnose Ozzy into keeping him.
Zakk definitely knew about the 357 scam and actively participated, not starting to distance himself until it became obvious that it WAS a scam. But he lent them his name and influence without checking them out, then acted like he knew nothing. Bullshit.
Anybody who gets the gig, well they're in a declining band but can still benefit from exposure and if they're a name, a good paycheck. I see no reason for John5 or anyone else to turn down a gig like that because of how the last guy got fired. That is the nature of the music biz and it's probably happened to John5 himself in his career. Those are the breaks in the business, sad but true.Ron is the MAN!!!!
