Ozzy ditching Zakk!

Zakk got fired in 1995 because he was trying to schmooze his way into Guns 'n' Roses. Since he got back in he's been big on the "Boss" schtick, but he's drank more and more while his playing and writing have gone downhill. I don't doubt he's been privately warned to shape up, but figured he could brownnose Ozzy into keeping him.

I have heard and read a lot of zakky bashing but I had never heard anything on him trying to get into G&R. What is the story behind that?

i think this could be a good thing for ozzy not saying i dislike zakk he's a awsum guitarist but something new would be cool seeing jake e lee back with ozzy would be cool but i doubt thas gonna happen

I don't really know the whole story other than I read that on Metal Sludge forums recently and have seen it mentioned there a number of times over the years. I would guess that the short story would be, if you want to join GNR you have to schmooze Axl Rose to get in.

In fact today I saw another thread at Sludge saying that Zakk might be joining GNR NOW. Of course it's probably just an outgrowth of the thread there saying that Zakk got told in an interview that Ozzy's looking for another guitarist.

Who knows, though, really? This might all just be Sharon's way of making sure Zakk doesn't dare ask for a raise!

I lost ALL respect for this guy when i saw him on this FUSE show dressed up like a pimp and sayin "brutha" as much as he uses pinch harmonics! The guy really annoyed the fuck out of me! Wanted to jump into the tv and beat the fuck out of him!

back when ozzy replaced zakk he had started working with axl back when slash was still in gnr. axl sat on his ass too long and zakk left. lucky for zakk since he would have been waiting for 14 years to release a gnr record.:ROTF:
