Ozzy ditching Zakk!

Its not Zakks fault Ozzy has been lame...It because they don't have Daisley writing...Plain and simple. He has pretty much written every classic Ozzy song.

There's something special about the lyrics on the early Ozzy records isn't it? It wasn't just Randy's guitarplaying.. I remember listening to, and later reading, the lyrics over and over again. They always made me feel better if I was having an off day. I'd get the feeling Ozzy was saying: "Yeah dude, I know exactly how you feel. But don't give up, don't care what other people may say or do or think of you!"

I know some people don't understand what I'm talking about but those who do I'm sure will agree. It's not always easy going your own way, especially when you don't really know what you want anyway.

Zakk wasn't known too well either before he joined Ozzy's band at what, 21 or something, and has been there more or less constantly ever since..

I don't think Jake was known to well before joining Ozzy either..? Randy had his years with Quiet Riot before joining Ozzy tho

But Randy left before they really hit mainstream.

I don't own anything Zakk has put out, but I have been to a BLS show and the guy does NOT play or sing a bad note. Zakk plays a piano damn well too...Just one of those people who is musical, no matter what they do...

As far as the image...Why do so many get right bent about it? Its an image...EVERYONE has an image! He is a rock star...thats his shtick...Dirty biker/rocker....doesn't seem far fetched. maybe he does ride a hog...

Just look at motley crue, L.A. Guns, WASP, hell POISON all tried to look like bikers in the 80's.

Of course most of them could ride where I believe it's been well documented that zakk doesn't. I like Zakk, it's Ozzy just sucks anymore. I'm so fucking tired of "I'm the prince of darkness" "I'm crazy" blah blah blah. He doesn't seem to be able to write a lyric that isn't the same shit re-hashed and you can not blame zakks guitar playing for that.

So get a bike, put on a backpatch and ride around town past your friendly neighbourhood Hells Angels Chapter. Tell them it's only a harmless bit of dressing up, just an image, then come back and tell us what they say. I suspect you will need someone to type for you.

There are certain cultures and people that are best left alone when it comes to using their lifestyle as a fashion statement, and backpatch clubs are one of them. It might be toss, but they take it fucking seriously. Zakk didn't just pretend to be a biker, as has been pointed out, many people associate themselves with bikes and bikers, but he tried to fashion a Brotherhood, based around.....um, buying his records. Maybe he should have a load of Yakuza tattoos done and pretend to be one of those instead. No, wait, he might have to cut his little finger off.

Come on now, think back, at that time it was all over the music press, the interwebs was in its infancy. You can't knock him for quoting Sludge today. Don't make me go back into my loft to dig out all the issues of Kerrang, NME and Melody Maker to get interview quotes! (Possibly because I didn't keep any of the fucking papers)
