I do agree on BLS stuff sounding "rushed." The songs really just mush together - none of them stand out from each other - and I'm sure that's Zakk's attitude anyway - "just record 'em and ship 'em out."-------------------------

Again - I love Dio, but putting him and Zakk together, while cool, would not be a colossal event.-------------------------

Going by "copies sold" these days has no bearing on actual popularity.Dreaded Silence - Boston Melancholic Metal

Hate to see good guys get F'd..but I don't think that was Zakk's intentions. But I can see how it leave a bad taste tho.
I agree with BLS, he put out too much too soon and nothing stands out. He was firing on all cylinders with 1919 IMO! That one had some "fire" to it. Zakk is a killer player no matter how you slice it. Actually, John Sykes does even more "pings", and should get royalty checks everytime Zakk does one..it just doesn't stand out in the mix. Zakk overdubs and boosts the shit out of them to make them stand out...with some wah to enhance them even more. But listen to Sykes, he does just as much or more. That's where Zakk got 'em, Sykes and Marino is amoung his favorite players. He's literally a combination of both. Marino + Sykes = Zakk."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

I still like Zakk - at least he kept shredding when all others stopped back in the dark days.-------------------------

So for anyone that says call Bob, give me a break. The info has been out there for years now, and they chose to not do shit about it. *Something* from Zakk would have been nice, maybe an autographed CD and a note of apology, how fucking hard is that? I know it's not worth the money alot of people put into the deal, but a little investment back into your fan base that got burned isn't a bad idea. But it all got swept under the rug, the old board there was deleted, and the kool-aid drinkers on the new board bashed anyone who RIGHTFULLY bitched about it.
We have no recourse, and as a result this will never be over for many people, myself included. I talk with my dollar, which means I buy no BLS music, don't go to any of their shows, and when I do meet a fan of theirs I tell them all about the deal, surprisingly the few that I have knew nothing about it. It's not that I don't want them to listen to what they like or be a fan, or wear the clown-suit (remember when that was on Wiki? LOL) fake biker dress up, or go to the shows, it's that I want them to beware of any "deals" in the future.
And Bill is right about Zakk having his own distinct style and being a good player, I can pick him out instantly, which is alot more than I can say about a million other players. To top it all off he managed to land the dream job of many guitarists and did that at a fairly young age, and has managed to more or less keep it going for several years. None of that can be taken away from him, I just wish he would have taken charge of the whole 357 situation and at least tried to turn it around.

Once the lawyers got involved the only people that won were them. I just called my credit card company and got my money back. A lot of people got fucked on that deal. I personally think that the douche bag that started it had every intention of making it happen. I think he was a bigger dumbass when it comes to running a business than a scam artist. Not unlike Kevin Easton.
I think that Chad, the webmaster, was the downfall for him. The deal grew way beyond what that guy thought it would. He had to get too many guitars and couldn't do it and it fell apart. It would have been one thing if only a few people went after the deal and he had to give away a few guitars. Once it was posted on Zakk's site by Chad all hell broke loose on it.
Chad was the person responsible for the disaster that ensued. And he has never taken responsibility for his actions. The little fucktard.http://www.jacknapalm.com/

Anyone hear the latest on this? I think this is all a put-on. Zakk can't keep his story straight. He keeps calling Ozzy out in public. On one interview he says he called and asked, but doesn't mention what answer he got. He just says "say it to my face". This is like the "Wylde and the Clueless".

I kind of wish Zakk would just fade into the woodwork. His name is on so much shit now... Jeez, the other day I was looking at some EVM12L's and they have a fucking Zakk Wylde EVM12L.
"Enter: the EVM-12L Black Label, the official guitar loudspeaker of Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society. Take the EVM-12L, add Zakk's personal specs (improved power handling, improved magnet design, better venting, and th Black Label colors), and now you have the greatest guitar loudspeaker in the world. Wanna argue with Zakk on that? I didn't think so. Remember: The only label is Black."

Get the fuck out of here.
