  • Bush

This is obvisouly not metal, but I love songs like this. Bush is normally a grunge band, for those that don't know. (Also Gavin Rossdale is the singer/guitarplayer)

Grunge didn't kill music, that's ridiculous.

Sorry it set metal back. But metal has prevailed.

Bush is the grunge equivalent of a boy band. The music, not so good. But the singer is really cute and has this 'tortured artist' thing going on like Curt Cobain so the 14 year old girls will lap it up. The dude sounds like he's gonna bust into tears every time he sings. If my lawn was as emo as him, it would cut itself.

I really like that particular song though. But I guess I do agree with hellbat.

my band does Machinehead, that's a pretty rockin song.

rest of their stuff falls short though IMO.

Agreed. The herd needed to be thinned.

Metal set itself back. Imitators of imitators of imitators, and everybody thought they were the biggest band to ever happen. I will give props to all the tremendous guitar players that came out of that era though. Amazing!! So many of them are so much better than the current crop of "modern rockers" on the mainstream now...but their names will never be mentioned since they were about 5 layers deep in the mess that was before Nirvana happened on the scene.

It set metal back in the US, but not anywhere else. Americans are just addicted to shitty music. A vast majority anyway.

Exactly what I was going to say. Grunge just provided the much needed enima to clear out all of the BS corporate metal. The underground metal scene has always been there, and always will be.
