Nah, they didn't do any studio just toured a bit.
But being out there touring and doing the old stuff was great and proved theres a profitable market for the older acts.

Never a fan, but I do like this tune.

I heard someone point out that the older albums were never really recorded that well, so the studio tracks just didn't do their live show justice...to me they always sounded so 'thin.' Maybe that's part of the reason why some people, like myself, never really got into them. This recording makes them sound much better IMO, more of a 'thicker' sound as a whole.

I can give you the exact sounds which makes me dislike them "Shout it out loud" the opening guitars on that just blah me to tears. I actually like quite a few songs but they were from the years with out ace on guitar, the non make up years.. what was his name? Bruce? I liked the stuff he was on. but all the rest just kind of... meh..

I really really really hate Kiss. I listened to this thinking I would fully bash it but it's not all that terrible. For me to even remotely compliment Kiss is a miracle.

There's a 7 1/2 minute long sampler of Sonic Boom floating around the internet now. I downloaded it from a Torrent site. To me the whole CD sounds like more Rock N' Roll Over/Love Gun than Destroyer. The CD sounds fairly decent, nothing ground breaking by any means. I got the new Ace Frehely CD a few days early, sounds exactly like what you expect from Ace. In all, I think I like the Ace CD a little better.
