I disagree with that strongly as I think the Lynch/pilson record and Souls of We have been generally been great to listen to, although admitedly the only 2 really good things he's done in the 20 years nearly since the first lynch mob record

L/P wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. Souls of We? Annoying.

We can agree to disagree though. He's still a legend. I'm just not fond of George's "modern influences". It doesn't move me at all.

I think we're kind of on the same page. I LOVED George's writing and playing in the classic Dokken and first two Lynch Mob albums.

L/P had some good songs and Jeff's voice was great. George's solos however were bland and uninspired. After one disappointment after the other, I didn't even waste my money on Souls of We.

George definitely lost the mojo. So sad.

I heard Lynch pilson and furious george. I thought they both sucked tri colored monkey ass. and I am a Lynch fan. but his playing now is ALL just obtuse technique rather than music. his old stuff was pure genious. I mean genious. the phrasing was just perfect. but the stuff since Sacred groove is garbage.

I always thought of George's play as very tasteful and the solos "sang" - I remember a day when you could hum along with guitar solos. That isn't his forte these days...it's just all over the place. "Obtuse" is a really good word to use for sure.

I thought Jeff was the high point of L/P. Another thing I noticed is while the production of that album was alright, it lacked the "bigness" I come to expect of these guys. I want it to sound like they're in a HUGE arena - the way things sounded in the heyday.

I heard the new one by Lynch Mob yesterday. Nothing caught me as really even remotely interesting. Glad I didn't bother.
