  • Reshaping a production Tele headstock....

It just freaks me out that they put a Strat headstock on the production Teles. I was thinking about putting one to the jigsaw and making it right. Shaping it like a Tele headstock. I made a template and it fits fine with some room to smooth it out. Now I just need to suck-it-up and do it.........

Why not sell the Charvel neck for $400 plus on ebay, buy an aftermarket tele neck, and pocket a cool $200 plus profit?

I do realize that the Charvel necks are supposed to have a great feel though and the heel width may be a problem.

Is the top of a Strat and a Tele headstock the same - on the tuning peg side?
