Charvel certainly makes a great guitar. Plays like a dream.

I just couldn't see paying more than double for the exact same guitar so I cut out BOTH middlemen.

1) Fender...They about TRIPLE whatever the artist charges them by my calculations.

Thread resurrection...The latest one finished by DRL.

Still amusing myself with these Strat projects. We did the 'Zero' so naturally I had to have a US Navy 'Hellcat' to along with it. Several more in the works too.

PROJECT HELLCAT: Started with a 2006 black Custom Shop Strat.

All I can say is

That's a devastating set. I remembered the Zero one but looking at it a second time I actually noticed tons of details that I had missed the first time.

Dan is one of the masters for sure. If you are having him do more warbirds maybe explore doing some oil streaks or exhaust staining from the control and/or trem cavity plates.
