You may have misunderstood....I have just under $1400 into the COMPLETE project....guitar included.

I would like someday to have Mike Learn paint something for me. It has to be something that would fit his style though...not that he couldn't paint something like this

Both are impressive and I too am a big fan of the subject matter. I think a "Battle of Britain Series" would be cool. A pair, as you did here, featuring the 109 and the Spitfire. Moving ahead to armor - "Battle of Kursk" with SS Panzer and T-34 guitars.

I've always wanted to make a Ranger guitar, honoring my grandfather's 2nd Ranger Btn. that stormed the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, Normandy. I've never sat down and came up with a design. I don't want it to be too busy, but I also would want the graphic to be just the blue diamond in the center.

Well I'm HALFWAY there! Got the 109 covered. This one was done many years ago but spec'd out in the same manner as the two Charvels. i always wanted to do a 'series' and I am just now getting around to doing it.
